The SER of Curaçao Charts Course for “Broad and Inclusive Growth”: AICESIS Members Surveyed in Global Roadmap Effort

Willemstad, Curaçao – February 8, 2024 – In a bold move for international social and economic cooperation on an institutional level, the Social Economic Council (SER) of Curaçao, currently holding the presidency of the International Association of Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions (AICESIS), has launched a groundbreaking initiative: the “Curaçao Presidency Roadmap Questionnaire.” This survey, aimed at AICESIS’s member institutions worldwide, seeks to chart a collaborative path towards “Broad and Inclusive Growth,” a vision that prioritizes not just economic prosperity but also societal well-being and equity, for current and future generations.

“SER of Curaçao is honored to lead AICESIS in this crucial endeavor,” declared its president, Mr. John Jacobs, upon announcing the questionnaire’s launch. “The concept of ‘Broad and Inclusive Growth’ goes beyond traditional economic measures. It envisions a future where progress is shared by all, and where diverse voices are heard and reflected in our collective decisions.”

The meticulously designed questionnaire delves into the strategies and objectives of each member institution, fostering a comprehensive understanding of their individual and collective approaches to achieving “Broad and Inclusive Growth.” Structured around key principles of relevance, coherence, and utility, the survey promises to gather valuable insights that will shape the AICESIS roadmap for the next years.

Curaçao’s presidency, themed “Broad and Inclusive Growth,” has outlined a strategic roadmap outlining its vision and action plans. This questionnaire serves as a cornerstone in this initiative, inviting all AICESIS members to actively participate and contribute their unique perspectives.

By working together, AICESIS aspires to chart a course that is not only prosperous but also equitable, sustainable, and representative of the diverse voices within our global community. The “Curaçao Presidency Roadmap Questionnaire” marks a significant step towards achieving this shared goal.
