Minister GMN explains package narrowing proposal BVZ in SER

WILLEMSTAD, June 3, 2022 – In a specially convened preparatory meeting of the Social and Economic Council (SER) of Curaçao, which took place on June 3rd, 2022, the Minister of Health, Environment and Nature (GMN) Mrs. Dorothy Pietersz-Janga, together with her advisors, at the invitation of the SER, further explained the draft national decree on the financial and control measures regarding the Fund Basic Health Insurance (Basisverzekering Ziektekosten – BVZ), which has been submitted to the SER for advice. The main purpose of this draft decree is to take measures to control and reduce costs in the health care sector. In order to achieve this goal, several national decrees containing general measures for the implementation of the National Ordinance on Basic Health Insurance (BVZ) will be adjusted.
