SER welcomes Fergino Brownbill, Chairman of Parliament
Willemstad, September 19, 2025 – Parliamentary Chairman Fergino Brownbill (MFK) visited the Social and Economic Council (SER) on Monday, September 15, as part of a series of meetings with key institutions of Country Curaçao. Prior to visiting SER, mr. Brownbill had engaged in discussions with the General Audit Chamber, the Advisory Council, the Ombudsman, and the Electoral Council.
The visit to the SER marked the conclusion of this series of consultations. On behalf of Parliament, mr. Brownbill reaffirmed the commitment to strengthening collaboration and ensuring closer cooperation between the Parliament and the country’s institutions.
Mr. Brownbill and the parliamentary delegation were welcomed by Acting SER Chairman, mr. John Jacobs, and Secretary of the advisory body, mr. Raul Henriquez. Discussions focused on draft legislation initiated by Parliament and submitted to the SER for review.
Both parties also reflected on how the effectiveness and efficiency of these legislative processes could be further enhanced, underscoring the shared commitment to improving Curaçao’s governance framework.
