During the visit, the students received an overview of how the advisory body informs government and parliamentary decision-making on socioeconomic issues.<\/p>\n<p>Council staff explained the legal foundation of the SER, the process through which its recommendations are drafted and reviewed, and the institution\u2019s place within Cura\u00e7ao\u2019s constitutional system. The visit offered the students a rare glimpse into the mechanics of policy formation in a small island jurisdiction.<\/p>\n<p>Interest from The Hague University has grown steadily in recent years, with students frequently completing internships at the council. Het advies werd uitgebracht op verzoek van de Staten van Cura\u00e7ao.<\/p><p>Het initiatiefvoorstel is afkomstig van de fractie van de MAN in de Staten, die zich hierbij beroept op het recht van initiatief zoals vastgelegd in artikel 77 van de Staatsregeling van Cura\u00e7ao (A.B. 2010, no. 86).
